Ranger Guided Tour

Tours also and 12 pm and 2 pm. The Black Heritage Trail explores the history of the 19th century free Black community of Boston. The trail consists of 14 sites and begins at the Robert Gould Shaw Memorial on Beacon Street. Self-guided tours can be conducted at any time, Monday through Sunday. More about Guerriere the Terrier: Guerriere was a rat terrier brought on board Ship in 1814 by Lt. Beekman Van Hoffman. He was a real member of the crew, doing his part to rid the ship of rats. He went above and beyond though by helping to haul on ropes and keeping an eye on the horizon to alert the crew to approaching sails.

FORMAT
Individual: Pools with 100% promoted to Direct Elimination with no repechage. Age group recognition awards will be presented. There will be awards through Third Place ties and Medals awarded through 8th Place. If in two events, you must present yourself at the strip when you are required to fence. You may be allowed to enter additional events on the day of the event.

Mixed teams are not allowed. Teams must have all men or all women.
Team: All team members must register and pay registration fee. The 45 touch relay Team Event format will be based on
the European Veterans Team Competitions, with team cumulative age requirements. See registrants on AskFred to put together your team.
1. Menâ??s teams must have a minimum cumulative age of 150. Womenâ??s teams must have a minimum cumulative age of 135. Team members do not need to be from the same club.
2. There must be a minimum of three teams in a weapon to hold the event.
3. Teams may have up to two substitutes but must maintain cumulative age requirements. The Advance Registration Fee for each team is $48 and must be paid by August 21. Teams must be preregistered; no additional teams will be allowed after the deadline. Team captains will submit team rosters by close of registration.
4. Each team will fence in at least two rounds if conditions permit and there will be a match for Third Place. There will be awards for first place and medals through Third Place.
5. If in two events, you must be present when you are required to fence. Bouts in team events may not be fenced out of order. All team members must be present at start of match.

A prepared piece is not required, but prior musical experience is expected.

Using natural materials, hand dyed raffia, dried iris leaves, pine needles, and an assortment of novelty threads students will sew and coil several baskets each with a different set of materials. The simplest and most fun to make is the Handmade Rolled Basket. The class will learn to roll raffia, colored threads and other materials into a long rope that will then be used to coil a simple, colorful basket. Beads, feathers and buttons will help make this basket special. This class will be interesting and fun for all skill levels. All materials are provided by the instructor and students will be charged a fee.
